Ciao Ya Jhao Yang Temple

    • The main god Bodhisattva statue was originally worshipped in Jhao Yang Temple in Zih Ko Gang county of Fuchien Province. The statue was carved and made in Canton Province in the year of 273 and later worshipped in Fuchien Province. However, some catastrophe happened in the area and the devotee Mr. Lin Deng Ren moved the statue and the seal to Taiwan. The seal is made of pure jade on which says. The seal was made in 359, so it is 1638 years old already.
    • Some also said Mr. Lin went through high and low for taking the statue to Taiwan. After he got to Taiwan, he found a place in Caoya and built a simple temple with in 1674. It has been 323 years. Later on there were several renovations. However, the building is too old to renovate and in 1972 the new temple started to get rebuilt. In the beginning of 1976, the temple was finished and opened to people to worship again.

    1.     Bodhisattva: The nineteenth day of the second month, the nineteenth day of the sixth month, the nineteenth day of the ninth month on the lunar calendar.

    2.     Wen Fu Cian Suei: the sixteenth day of the sixth month and the first day of the eleventh month on lunar calendar

    3.     Chih Fu Cian Suei: The eighteenth day of the first month and the eighteenth day of the sixth month on the lunar calendar

    4.     Wu Fu Cian Suei: The seventeenth day of the first month and the seventeenth day of the sixth on the lunar calendar
