Shuai Sing Fo Tang

    Shuai Sing Fo Tang was built in 1926. The main worship is Avalokiteshvara. Sie Zen, Sie Da, Yang Jhih, Jang Shih, Dong Zai Ji, and Li Sin Ji build this place together. At first, it was set up on the west of Ren Ai Elementary School. The scale was quite grand. However, Japanese government occupy the hall by force for the reason of building an oil refinery. In 1948, people moved Avalokiteshvara to Kaohsiugn Da Ren Gong. After the retrocession, in 1949, Jhang To, Guo Ching Chuang, Jhang Ping, Syu Yu Yang, and all the staff in Jhih Cheng have an agreement that they will build another hall to worship Avalokiteshvara. It took a whole year to finish building the temple, and that is the old part of the temple. At that time, Mr. Jhang De Zai was the second one who in charge running the temple. In July of 1963, the temple registered as an institution. Mr. Jhang Ping was elected as the President of the institution. In 1969, Mr. Cai Shuei Long was the supervisor. In 1975, the president Mr. Jhang Wang started to plan the renovation and Mr. Chen Jhong Jhih was the contractor. It has been two decades after the temple renovated. It was because all the hard work, help and support from the renovation committee and parish clerks, Shue Zai Ji, Cai Shuei Long, Yen Cio Ji, Li Jiao, Yang Yue Sia, Gao Cuan, Jhao Syun, Sun Ching Yue, Syu Yu Rei and Ye Miao. The devotees and followers from all over donated to make everything happen.
