Since the universe started, Yin and Yang set the sky, the earth and the people. That goes with seven regulations and get the five stars to go around. The earth has the justice settled with five elements. People have the sign and fortune of five elements. Although the five elements contributed in nourishing, they did not cultivate and civilize. From the earliest emperors, they have their own territories, and that leads to differences in areas and ranks in the country and family. Especially after Tang Yu was in power, her started to educated people with virtues and the world was peaceful and calm. However, when European culture came to the east, it rotted people’s minds. People urges for money and fame. There was no way left for Confucius virtues.
Confucius was born at near the mountain of Chi Ni near east of Shan Dong. He was the disciple of Shao Jhu Si and a man of virtue. He lectured at Sing Tan and that has been standing for thousands of years. He became the all-time teacher of Chinese people and started Confucianism. Several elders had already foreseen the situation that they need to save rotting human souls, wake up the lost minds, and change the decaying sprit, so they can promote and spread the idea of the cosmopolitism one more time. In 1948, they asked god to show signs and give instructions but there was no result. Afterwards in 1951, the elders went to Jhih Cheng Tang in Ciao Ya to visit and study the instructions of ancestors and Confucianism. During the period of retrocession, people’s minds were not set to regain the glory of Confucianism, so everything came to a halt. Not until 1956, the chairman of Jhen Nan Gong, Jhu Ya Shyung, lead Lin Kuen He, Jhu Si Chuen, Jhu Yueng Zan, Jhu Deng Fan, Chen Chang, Lin Fu Lang, Wang Jhen Duen, Jhu Jheng Sin, etc. to gather local gentlemen to work together to start everything over again. It was granted to reprint Yu Huang Jhen Jing in 1957 and the year after that it was published. The decree was sent down again saying: study the book night and day. It was given the name “Ming Sin She Jing Shan Tang” and Wang Wei Jheng, Wen Heng Sheng Di of Jhen Nan Gong, was appointed to be the first chairman, Jhu Deng Sian as the first president, Jhu Ya Cyueng as the vice president. Another order was: the hall was set up and it took ten years of iron-like will, so now everyone should carry out five clubs for welfare from now on.

At that time, god gave the name of the place and then gave another decree that Lu Mang would be the position as a deputy to helpout since the load of the business of the hall is heavier. In 1960, another decree said that the first book should be written to be the light of the weary hearts. The book has three parts: Song(Pine tree), Jhu(Bamboo), and Mei(Plum flower). These three parts were edited and to be the material as a wake-up call to people.
In 1966, the second leader Jhu Ying and deputy Jhu Cian Ke was assigned. During that period of time, the temple was glamorous and famous. All the followers were keen to work hard and carrying out the instructions, preaching, studying the classical books and following the teaching of the saints. As the time goes by, the followers and devotees felt that couching in Jhen Nan Gong was not a long-term choice. As a result, the followers had a meeting of discussing building a temple in November of 1966. The decree was sent to appoint Wang Sheng Di was the president of the building the hall. Lyu Man was the deputy. Wang Sheng Di went to test the location and it got the instruction saying the location is a delighted and joyful place for the rising sun and moon to shine.
Lyu Man had all his heart setting on building the hall and he recruited twelve gentlemen to gather money and donate the land for the temple. Holy Emperor also did his part in the heaven for building the temple. However, the funds for this operation was still nowhere to be found and it was almost time to break the ground. Luckily, Ms. Lai Jhu Yun Dong donated to help under the introduction and recommendation of her brother. It was perfect timing and everything started as scheduled. Everyone was excited because of it and continued to collect and find the money to finish building the hall. In the end, it cost one million and two hundred eighty thousand NT dollars. Among that, three hundred forty-four thousand and four hundred dollars was donated by the followers and devotees. The rest of the money was donated by Jhu Yun Dong and her relatives. It took a year and four months to finish building this towering and magnificent “Jing Shan Tang.” It was a really a bless and it was granted to have the opening ceremony on March 27th, 1968. An order was sent to appoint Wang Sheng Di of South astronomical department to continue being the chairman of the hall and Jhu Cian Ke the third chief, Yen She and Chen Shan the deputies, and Jhu Chung Yun Dong the head of the committee and the administrator.
In 1970, the second book was allowed to start and the decree said that realizing being intelligent is the key to the tiny details to the heart. The third book was granted in 1975 and it said this is the book to right the worngs. It is to understand the rules of the heart, to spread the truth, and to praise the virtues. The book will be the meaning of the real inheritance of Dao and the way of cleansing the decaying human souls.
Especially taken from the saint emperor’s decree: as soon as the three books were finished, the nice work and proverbs will be the foundation of the building of the south and north pavilions. All the followers were so happy to get this opportunity that the committee plan this project cautiously and gradually in lots of meeting. Until 1980, Nan Bei Ge Building committee was set up. In 1981, the groundbreaking started. In 1982, the work had been carried on and all the members of the committee did their best to make the plans. Everyone worked together for the best. The golden incense burner, nine-dragon pond, and carp pon were all finished in 1984. Afterwards, lots of followers and devotees flocked in and visited the magnificent hall to pay their respect to all the gods worshipped in the temple. Gods of the South and North Stars blessed the temple with lots of luck to allow people to respect the place. Now in the main hall, the main god is Wen Heng Saint Emperor. In the hall of South and North Stars, the gods of the South and North Star Gods are there to be worshipped. We wish the devotees hope to use endless time to state the history of the hall and honestly pray for the peace and safety of the country. All businesses would be blooming and prosperous. There will be more followers coming and worshipping in the temple.
